Tim & Eric’s Bedtime Stories: “Baklava Guys” Review

Tim & Eric are best known for their strange & out-of-this-world sense of humor. Due to their hilarious sketches and shorts from over the years, along with their bizarre sense of humor, the comedy duo has always had a special place in my heart. Now, their highly disturbing Tim & Eric’s Bedtime Stories returns for a second season, and it is just as enjoyable as ever. Bedtime Stories offers a different look at the pair’s take on comedy, as instead of a series of shorter sketches play out in an episode, each quarter-hour program centers around one plotline. As a huge fan of the show’s first season, I couldn’t have been more excited to check out “Baklava Guys,” the first episode from season two.

As the best Bedtime Stories episodes do, “Baklava Guys” is set in a piano store owned by Tim Heidecker’s character, who is obsessed with his sweet treats while Eric Wareheim’s character Barry needs to make piano sales in order to save his daughter. Over the course of its 11-minute run time, fans of Bedtime Stories will be thoroughly entertained. Season 2 started just as strong as the first, as it maintains the same dark and eerie sense of humor that many have come to love, while also delivering some solid jokes along the ride.

Season 2 of Tim and Eric’s Bedtime Stories will air on Sunday, September 10th at Midnight (ET/PT) on Adult Swim. For all your Adult Swim news, keep it here on NYCityGuys!
