Months after the release of smash-hit Fallout 4, Bethesda is at it again, delivering epic first-person shooter action and an interesting story in 2016’s DOOM. The game is fun, frantic, and a blast of nostalgia for fans of the original 1993 game that marked a generation. The game includes plenty of nods to the original, while still feeling fresh and new.
If you’re a fan of the original DOOM, you will most definitely not be disappointed by this game. It features the same polish as the original, along with the non-stop action that the series is known for. Your space marine will find himself blasting through countless demons from Hell in his quest. There are also hidden rooms that can be found that are nods to the 1993 release. These are always a joy to find, and they change up the gameplay along with showing how far video games have come overall since then.
